EHSAN POPAL
KANO FOUNDER
Former NSW NPL player with Sutherland Sharks, Parramatta FC. Ehsan commenced coaching straight from high school and entered tertiary education in the field at the same time. with a total of 14 years coaching experience with children 5-12 has coached at elite sap representative level and grassroots level.
His coaching journey has seen him coach across asia. Ehsan strategised the growth of PROGRAMS nationally across australia from humble beginnings with programs now empowering communities in nsw and victoria. ehsan also
“As a child growing up some of my fondest memories were playing and practicing with my ball. Just me and the ball. We need to continue to preserve a culture where children can love their ball, learn, grow, have fun and not feel obligated to adult demands.”
PETER CATSOURAKIS
Peter has come on board as a full time staff members with KANO in the capacity of Head Of Football. Peter is a highly experienced and passionate about the world game.
Peter has proved himself at KANO as a dedicated, knowledgeable and creative staff member. With KANO on the lookout for a full time Head Of Football, Peter was promoted within and given the full time opportunity.
Peter has also worked as a Mini-Roos technical director at NPL clubs in Melbourne at NPL 1 and NPL2. Peter is also highly knowledgeable in coaches education WITH AN FFA ACCREDITED LICENSE and completed his Masters degree in education.
NATHAN SIM
Nathan has been with KANO from day one and head of the KANO programs interstate in melbourne. Nathan is a current semi-pro footballer and full time coach with KANO. nathan has completed his sports management bachelors degree.
nathan is also responsible for all admin practices. nathan has established an efficient admin culture at KANO ensuring the day-to-day practices are running positively. nathan is also a favourite with the children when coaching at sessions.

KANO values it’s coaches more than employees. our coaches are recruited to ensure they can deliver their passion for football to children. our coaches want to make a difference and be role models. KANO HAVE 60 coaches in sydney and melbourne.
staff are regularly trained and engaged with best practices in coaching principles, pedagogy (principles of teaching) studies, modern football trends, communication and, child behavioural skills. KANO strives to make a positiVE and empowering environment.
